Chris has over 3 decades of racing experience, starting as a teenager racing at Heysham Head near Morecambe. It was a small track with a big reputation. The class to be in back then was the 210cc villiers, Heysham used to attract entries in the hundreds for the 210 class alone, often needing a E final.

Chris stayed racing at club level on the short circuits until he was old enough to race on the long circuits racing at famous circuits like Silverstone, Cadwell Park etc.

Chris entered selected long circuit meetings in the first few years then In 1993 he began to take his racing more seriously and decided to follow the long circuit 210cc British championship held over nine rounds, the UK cup also known as the O plate held over four rounds, the cadwell kart club championship and the central kart club championship, this proved to be an excellent year taking the win in each championship.

In 1994 he also had a very good year although he didn't manage to win the British title, he did manage to retain the O plate title. 1995 saw him step up to the 250cc class, he led the championship for most of the season but an accident at a Three Sisters club meeting left Chris with several broken ribs which hindered his performance a week later for the last round of the championship, eventually losing the championship by just one point.

1996 was another successful year in the 250cc class managing to secure a 3rd place in the British Title.

1997 promised to be an big year for Chris as he had secured substantial sponsorship from TVR where he was employed at the time, however while racing at Oulton Park in September he was involved in a horrendous accident leaving him with a broken back, punctured lung, broken collar bone and several broken ribs. As you can imagine this stopped his racing for a while.

Since the accident he has raced at selected meetings to keep a 'hands on approach' to racing, securing a 3rd place in the 2002 250cc British Kart GP.

Chris also managed several wins in the Darley Moor in long Circuit kart racing championship.

Since the accident he set up in business and has significantly invested in a dynojet rolling road, designed and developed a class one chassis suitable for Rotax Max / Formula Blue etc and also junior / 125 gearbox.
